Following on from our event in March we headed to Wisbech Market yesterday to raise awareness of Domestic Abuse and to educate the community about the different forms of abuse.
With support from our partners we were able to engage with a variety of people and identified a group of vulnerable people that will benefit from some further support.
We had members from Fenland District Council Community Safety, Refuge, Centre33, Locality, Police and a member from the Cambs County Council family support team all working together to deliver the event.
Our main aim was to get people to look at the posters and be aware that Domestic abuse is a problem in every community even if its not always obvious. We wanted to raise awareness that there will always be support for those who need it.
We have 2 more events coming up:
Chatteris 23rd Nov, Furrowfileds carpark 10-12:30
Whittlesey Market 26th Nov 10-2
