This month the Community safety team, in partnership with the Police, has been tackling the issues of anti-social behaviour in the Furrow fields car park area in Chatteris.
We have worked closely with the local Police to tackle the issues, holding a police Forum on the New Horizons Bus in early April which allowed local residents to come on board and have a chat about how their community could be improved.
Police attendance in the area has also increased massively of late. The community engagement during this event enabled us to establish how best to resolve the issues and since the event, multiple section 59 warnings have been issued. 3 vehicles have been seized for no insurance and a community protection notice has been issued to one particular driver due to his continual driving manner. Further resources have been bid for at a force level therefore the increased Police attendance in the area is set to continue.
